ADHD or compulsive Attention Seeking is a set of Subconscious Rules and Learned Behaviours you programmed yourself with, usually by the age of three. It starts with parental behaviours that you don’t understand. Your parents don’t give you the attention and affection that you want. You create a Rule in your Subconscious Mind saying “people should pay attention to me”. Next you develop a set of Learned Behaviours that support the Rule. So begins a pattern of attention seeking behaviours that chop and change looking for a way to attract attention. I’m doing this, no, not working, how about this,no, not working, how about this, no, not working……………. This becomes a Learned Behaviour of constantly changing tasks after a short period of time on any task. This may be observed as an inability to focus but is a Learned Behaviour or habit of constantly switching between things like you did as an attention seeking three year old.
