6 Subconscious Rules, or, My Rules – My Behaviour

Once you create a rule and program it into your Subconscious, the rule governs the way you live your life. A lot of your behaviour rules were programmed (by You) into your Subconscious in early childhood. A question may asked about the suitability of some of your early childhood rules in adult life.

Your rules dictate your behaviour. For example you create a childhood rule that states ‘Things should be perfect’. The behaviour that rule creates is that you expend large amounts of time, effort and resources in trying to make things perfect in your life.

You apply your rules to yourself which is what you would expect. However your Subconscious applies Your rule to everyone else. Continuing with the ‘Perfect’ example, someone at work doesn’t wash the coffee cups. You take this information, send it to your Subconscious that first checks it against its rules. The ‘Perfect’ rule has been broken so the Subconscious sends an instruction to the Conscious to ‘React’ to the rule violation. Your Conscious Mind then selects an action to take in response to your rule violation.

Reactions to the dirty cups can include:
Ho hum
Not happy
Angry
Tantrum
Rage
Violence
It all depends on the state of the Conscious Mind at the time. So before you react it may be helpful if you ask yourself, “what is the most appropriate reaction to the situation?”.
